THE JOURNEY

Travel west along the MacDonnell Ranges as the sun touches the tops of the ranges as the colours change before your eyes across the ever changing landscape. We reach the Hermannsburg Range toward Palm Valley before the crowds arrive. Stopping at vantage points in the oldest water course in the world, the Finke River for a morning tea. See the stunning Cycad Gorge and listen to the early morning birdlife, before a challenging 4×4 track to Palm Valley. Caution and safety all the way as we manoeuvre our purpose built 4×4 bus up rocky creek beds. Walk or gaze, it’s up to you how you want to spend your time meandering these ancient relict palms. After a delicious lunch in palm valley we then return via Hermansburg to Alice Springs.
